1) Clemson's Sammy Watkins will be suspended for the first two games of the season. This suspension is a result of his drug arrest.

2) TCU's Casey Pachall will not face any discipline from the team after admitting to police that he used marijuana and failed a drug test. Pachall has completed a drug counselling program mandated by the university.

3) According to the police, Montee Ball was at a fight the night before he was assaulted by five men.

4) Dennis Dodd has a Big Ten preview and says that Wisconsin will stand at center stage.

5) Mike Huguenin continues on with his preseason countdown with #14 Texas, #13 Virginia Tech, and #12 Georgia.

6) Penn State wide receiver Justin Brown is leaving Penn State and transferring to an unknown school. Brown is the 9th player to transfer since the NCAA sanctions have been handed down.

7) Texas quarterbacks David Ash and Case McCoy are looking forward to the competition to determine the starter.
