Morning Links for July 12th
Good morning! Here are ten morning links for you and the link to yesterday's column!
Yesterday, I ranked the SEC Coaches and to no one's surprise, Nick Saban came in first.
1) The Freeh Report came out and is damning towards Penn State. The NCAA issued this statement on the Penn State situation.
2) A 7-month-old letter came out showing that Joe Paterno defended Penn State Football's integrity that was written before his death. It will do little to make amends for his failure to act.
3) Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson believes that the 4 team playoff will expand within the next 12 years.
4) Dennis Dodd takes a look at Dave Campo and his return to college football at Kansas.
5) The preseason countdowns continue with Mike Huguenin going to #37 Texas Tech and Fox Sports getting to #23 Florida.
6) The Gainesville Sun continues counting down the top 25 players in the SEC with #6 Baccari Rambo and #5 Barrett Jones.
7) Mike Huguenin takes a look at 10 key conference matchups in September that could determine several conference championships.
8) Stewart Mandel slots 71 schools to their proper position in this week's mailbag. He breaks down the schools into Kings, Barons, Knights, and Peasants.
9) FSU cornerback Greg Reid was arrested and charged with marijuana possession on Tuesday night. He also had charges of driving with a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt.
10) Part of the conference expansion fall out is the loss of classic rivalries. Utah and BYU will not play each other in 2014 and 2015 due to Utah scheduling a home and home with Michigan.
