Thoughts from After the Show

Interesting talk today on JOX GameDay OverTime. It always amazes me how SEC Football talk will always stir up the calls.

Looking at Alabama's schedule for the upcoming year, they really have a great shot at finishing with another 10 win regular season. That would be Saban's 4th 10 win regular season at Bama and 5th 10 win season overall. This is truly a great time for Alabama fans and the best era of Alabama Football since the Bryant era. If Alabama's defense comes along the way fans are hoping it will, they should be able to contest for their third BCS Title under Saban.

Auburn will need their defense to improve to have a shot at winning the SEC. It should be an improvement this year but saying that isn't really a far stretch. Auburn finished 81st overall in Total Defense last year which was only ahead of 90th ranked Ole Miss for SEC Defenses. Auburn will also have to develop a new quarterback this year that will be a season long starter. While Clint Moseley and Kiehl Frazier have the experience, Freshman Zeke Pike could possibly when the job.

The state of Alabama should have another fun football season ahead.
